Thybulle Available to Play Against Timberwolves

Portland Trail Blazers wing Matisse Thybulle is available to play in the regular-season opener on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the organization announced.

Thybulle had missed all four of Portland’s preseason games due to right knee soreness. However, Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups said Thybulle participated fully in Portland’s practices on Monday and Tuesday. Thybulle also said after Tuesday’s practice that his body felt good heading into the season.

“Now [I’m] just trying to catch up with these guys,” Thybulle said. “We’re playing a really fast pace of basketball this year, so just trying to get used to that. Everyday I get more reps in, it gets easier.”

The rest of Portland’s injury report contained no surprises. Three players are unavailable: Robert Williams III (return to competition reconditioning), Scoot Henderson (left hamstring tear) and Damian Lillard (left achilles tear).

The Blazers tip off against the Timberwolves at the Moda Center on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PDT.
