Dave’s Hot Chicken is giving out free sliders for Drake’s 39th birthday

When it’s Drake’s birthday, it means free chicken slider sandwiches at Dave’s Hot Chicken.
Drake, who turns 39 on Oct. 24, has lined up a free chicken giveaway the day before, Oct. 23, for the third consecutive year. The Canadian rapper, who invested in the Los Angeles-headquartered restaurant chain in 2021, is one of the big-name supporters of Dave’s Hot Chicken, which was founded in 2017. Others include Usher, Maria Shriver, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Strahan.
“Each year, millions of fans visit us and post on social media about how Dave’s Hot Chicken blows their mind,” said Dave’s Hot Chicken CEO Bill Phelps. “We want to continue this tradition of taking care of our fans while celebrating our most famous investor, Drake. We hope everyone both at home and abroad will come out on October 23 for a slider on us.”
How to get free Dave’s Hot Chicken on Drake’s birthday
Go to any Dave’s Hot Chicken location on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time and you can get a free chicken slider or tender (no purchase necessary). You just need to have downloaded the Dave’s App and have the deal up so it can be scanned. (Not available with online orders or via third-party delivery services.)
Popularity of Dave’s Hot Chicken
Dave’s Hot Chicken is a truly hot property. The chain started as a late-night munchies spot in an East Hollywood parking lot in 2017. Since Phelps joined as CEO in 2019 after having led Wetzel’s Pretzels for 25 years, the still-growing chain has expanded to 350 locations in the United States, with locations also in the Middle East and Canada. In June, private equity firm Roark Capital acquired a majority stake in the company in a deal worth approximately $1 billion.
