Analyst proposes blockbuster midseason trade between Bucks and Warriors

The 2025-26 NBA season kicked off Tuesday, meaning it is never too early for analysts to begin their fantasy trade scenarios.

That includes Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd, who proposed what would be a blockbuster midseason trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors.

Blockbuster trade proposal sees Warriors acquire Bucks superstar to compete for title

The proposal saw Milwaukee receive Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga and four first-round picks in exchange for its superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Cowherd cited Golden State’s old age and needing a younger player to compete in the Western Conference.

“Steve Kerr is too smart to think that 37-year-old Steph, 35-year-old Draymond, 36-year-old Jimmy Butler and now 39-year-old Al Horford can compete in the West. They can’t, they can’t,” Cowherd said.
