You Can Soon Watch The Actress Behind Silent Hill f’s Heroine Be Terrified By Her Own Game

If you liked Silent Hill f, then you’ll love seeing Silent Hill f herself play Silent Hill f for the first time. At least, that’s the joke that I would make, if I had any personal enjoyment of watching other people play video games on the internet. I really, admittedly, do not have that in my DNA. And yet! Every now and then, there’s someone out there, with a deep enough connection to the games they’re playing, for me to tilt my head and nod.
Like Aerith VA Briana White in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth, sure enough, Konatsu Kato is that someone for Silent Hill f. If you’re not aware, Kato plays the game’s fascinatingly multifaceted heroine, Hinako Shimizu. An actress, model, and more, Kato has previously declared that she would wish to “disappear in a second” if ever she happened to get shuffled off into Silent Hill f’s dreary setting. This isn’t quite that harrowing, but it ought to be a nicely terrifying time for her, nevertheless.
No Pipe, Just Madness
Credit where credit is graciously due: I heard about this through Automaton. As it turns out, however, Konatsu Kato’s been talking about this for over a week! Who knew! Maybe everybody but me. That’d make this article rather useless, though, so hopefully that’s incorrect. Kato boldly declared that she would play through Silent Hill f, live and no doubt justifiably anxiously.
The voice actress only recently created her own YouTube channel, and it’s already at nearly 8,000 subscribers; people know Kato, and plenty of ’em are here for this playthrough. I’d reckon that’s the vast majority, in fact; the YouTube channel isn’t titled ‘Konatsu Kato’, or ‘Konatsu Plays’, or anything so nebulous. It is, in fact, ‘Silent Hill f, played by the protagonist herself’. As for the channel’s description? “I don’t have an iron pipe.” That’s it. Says it all, really.
As of this writing, Kato streamed her first video just a few hours ago. It’s racked up 75k views. Good for her! Like I said earlier, I’m not really into YouTube much, but you can count me among them.
You should watch it, too! And, if you’re still on the fence as to whether Silent Hill f is worth your time, maybe check out our very own Jade King’s highly positive review.
