A spin-off show that comes from “one of the best series of all time” has been given a major update, and fans are gushing over the news.
Post-apocalyptic horror series The Walking Dead spanned a whopping 11 seasons, and it has since inspired a number of offshoot shows centred around some of its greatest characters such as Fear the Walking Dead, World Beyond and Dead City.
Among those spin-offs is The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which has just aired its third season with a fourth and final one confirmed. It stars Norman Reedus as the eponymous Daryl, a character he first brought to life in the main show.
The first season followed his character after his exit from the main story, following him as he attempted to investigate the beginnings of the zombie outbreak before finding himself in France.

Across Seasons 2 and 3 he remained stuck in Europe, with his chance at making it home to America alongside long-time friend and fellow OG Walking Dead character Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) ultimately dashed once again in the dramatic finale.
For those who still haven’t caught up, there’s some exciting news as the second season has just been added to Netflix, with the first season also available.
The announcement, made on the The Walking Dead’s official social channels, prompted a flurry of happy fans to share their thoughts.
“The Walking Dead, one of the best series of all time,” penned one, as a second added: “Fighting zombies and catching up on the next season… sounds like a great plan!”

A third shared: “Nice, more episodes to enjoy and catch up on!” as a fourth begged show writers: “Please make him meet again with Rick Grimes and Judith at the end of Season 4!!!!!!!”
One die-hard fan was quick to call out the omission of Carol’s name in the show’s title, fuming: “Tell @NETFLIX they forgot Carol’s name in the title AGAIN It’s called the Book of Carol but you couldn’t be bothered.”
Discussing the upcoming final season, actor Norman told The Hollywood Reporter filming had nearly finished, teasing that it would wrap things up “in a perfect way.”
“It’s answering all of these reasons why and what all of it has meant, and what have we done to get here? What are the mistakes we made to get here? And what can we do to have a better life for ourselves? So it’s all very trippy, what we’re working on right now,” he shared.
