Lisowski, 34, revealed he has struggled since his father’s sudden passing in March, with emotions running high every time he stepped out to play.
Following the death of his dad, he withdrew from the World Grand Prix and released a tribute in which he hailed his “icon”.
He is now back at the baize but has insisted that it does not feel quite the same as before.
The Gloucestershire potter said: “It’s been up and down, it feels different now. I didn’t have a lot of fighting in the first few months but now I’m able to play.

“The first month I played without my dad, every frame I just felt so emotional, so I wish I didn’t.
“I wish I didn’t play for a bit but I just kept going. It’s tough to support me, because there’s so much heartbreak.
“Maybe if I won a few I’d get a few more fans.”
He returned to action in the Northern Ireland Open and earned victory over four-time world champ Mark Selby with a remarkable display.
The win over Selby has helped Lisowski reach the last sixteen of the tournament.
Lisowski’s match-clinching break of 65 was not without drama – as he was also battling a pressing need for the toilet.
He added: “I finished well at the end. I needed a wee, so I wanted to get out of there.
“I was going to play for a re-rack, I don’t know why I didn’t go to the toilet at 3-2. But yeah, good break.”
Lisowski has become known for his attacking style at the table but is still chasing his first ranking title.
Lisowski’s touching tribute
Jack Lisowski made a touching tribute to his father after he sadly died in March.
He wrote: “Last week, my Dad passed away, whilst walking up the hill on a sunny day.
“He was one of my best friends and my idol.
“The pain of losing him is hard to describe but I also feel so so lucky to have had him in my life for 33 years and spent so much time with him – especially the last few years.
“He showed me what unconditional love is and gave my sister, my mum and myself the best life imaginable.
“I took the first three photos with him last month and was going to put them up in a photo dump with other stuff eventually, but I guess this post is just for him now.
“Dad, there are no words I can use to do you justice. You were a f**** legend… until we meet again… Rest in peace.”
He said: “When I’m on it, I can just look down the cue and I know where it’s going, it feels really easy.
“When I play bad, I haven’t got a clue what’s going on, it’s such a hard sport.”
