Macarthur FC at home tonight against Adelaide

Harry Sawyer says the Bulls can’t wait for tonight’s match to make amends for last week’s loss to Brisbane.
At 7pm tonight, Macarthur FC will host Adelaide United in round two of the 2025-26 A-League season.
It will be the first home game for the Bulls, who went down 1-0 to Brisbane Roar in the opening round of the competition.
There’s a lot of excitement ahead of tonight’s game, and it’s not just that it will be the first chance for Bulls fans to see the new home strip of their team.
Having just returned from Vietnam with a 1-1 draw in round three of the Asian Champions League (ACL) tier two competition, Mile Sterjovski’s squad is now also looking at two big A-League games in six days.
Following tonight’s encounter with the tough South Australian side, the Bulls will start preparing for one of their biggest games of the season when they host Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday night (November 1), with a 7.35pm kick-off at Campbelltown Stadium.
Since returning from last Thursday’s ACL match in Vietnam, the focus has been tonight’s clash with Adelaide United.
The Bulls are certain to hit the ground running in this one.
“We started slow against Brisbane and then that penalty [in the 37th minute] killed our momentum,’’ mused Mile Sterjovski after the match.
He said the Bulls created plenty of chances for the rest of the game but just could not finish any of them off.
“We lacked killer instinct, and composure,’’ he said.
Last Friday, prior to the team’s training session at Fairfield, Harry Sawyer fronted the media, saying: “It was disappointing to lose that first match against Brisbane.
“But there were plenty of positives from the match to take into Monday night.
“We’re excited to be back home, we want to make Campbelltown Stadium it a fortress,’’ he said.
“We need a good performance, and the three points; I’m looking forward to it.’’
