Hugh Jackman’s Ex-Wife Deborra-Lee Furness Sparks Rumors of a Memoir After This Rare Sighting

Hugh Jackman‘s ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, has stayed rather silent for a while after her shocking divorce, but now, insiders claim that’s all about to change.
Insiders alleged to Rob Shuter in his #ShuterScoop Substack that Furness was spotted meeting with a top publisher in Midtown, New York. They said, “She was all smiles, but it looked serious. There were sample pages, lots of notes — it had the energy of a book deal negotiation.”
A pal added, “She’s reclaiming her voice. She spent years being known as Hugh’s wife. Now she wants to be known for her truth.”

Allegedly, publishers are in a bidding war over her supposed memoir. Insiders claim it’s a “bold, emotional memoir about love, identity, and starting over.” Celebrity memoirs have been huge in the past decade, including ones from exes of A-listers, so if there’s a memoir coming, we know it’ll be an insanely powerful ride.

For those who don’t know, Jackman and Furness married in April 1996, after meeting on the show Correlli the year prior. They adopted two children named Oscar Maximillian, born in May 2000, and Ava Eliot, born in July 2005. Sadly, the pair called it quits after 27 years together, and separated in Sept 2023 after Jackman’s relationship with Foster became public.
Furness filed for divorce in May 2025, and it was finalized literally a month later in June 2025.
