Chiefs vs. Commanders: Kareem Hunt scores touchdown on ‘Monday Night Football’

The Kansas City Chiefs needed some time to score their first points against the Washington Commanders on ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 8.

The primetime matchup started off as a defensive battle in the first quarter that saw both teams throw interceptions on their opening possessions.

As the first quarter ended without a score by either team, quarterback Patrick Mahomes found himself in perfect field position to start the second quarter and was able to finish his third drive of the game with a touchdown run by running back Kareem Hunt.

Take a look at this video of Hunt’s touchdown, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:

Hunt has been a key cog in Kansas City’s running game and is poised for another productive game on the stat sheet. The former Toledo Rocket’s ability to manufacture gritty yards after contact is an oft-utilized tool for Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

With just under two minutes to play in the first half, Kansas City will need to continue to stall the Commanders’ offense if it hopes to pull out a win at home.
