Chiefs vs. Commanders: Mike Danna intercepts Marcus Mariota on ‘Monday Night Football’

The Kansas City Chiefs’ defense is already making its presence felt against the Washington Commanders on ‘Monday Night Football.’
After Kansas City won the coin toss and chose to defer, Washington’s offense took the field for the game’s first drive.
The Commanders’ running game initially found success against the Chiefs’ defenders, but when Washington decided to mix in a first-down passing play, Kansas City was ready to make a play.
Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel dropped the pass from quarterback Marcus Mariota, and Chiefs defensive lineman Mike Danna stepped in to intercept the ball.
Check out this video of Danna’s pick, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:
Danna’s heady play gave Kansas City possession at its own 32-yard line.
If Kansas City can continue to keep pressure on Washington’s offense, fans should expect the Chiefs to cruise to victory in front of a national audience on ‘Monday Night Football.’
