A week of domestic cup action gets underway tonight when the Hatters welcome a Brighton & Hove Albion U21 side to Kenilworth Road.
The Vertu Trophy Group tie is followed, on Saturday, by an FA Cup 1st round tie against Forest Green Rovers, who play in the National League.
Earlier this week, in an article – luton-town-priority-setting – I discussed our participation in the two cup competitions and whether it might make sense to concentrate on just the one.
In order to gauge your opinion, on the subject matter, I inserted a poll which read:

- The FA Cup
- The Vertu Trophy
The results make for interesting reading with 70% of those that voted wanting to concentrate on an FA Cup campaign, possibly hoping that we can hang around long enough, in the competition, to draw a plum, money-generating 3rd round tie against one of the bigger Premier League clubs.
The remaining 30% believe we should treat the Vertu Trophy as more important, maybe because it is in that competition that Luton Town stand a better chance of getting to the Wembley Final.
