Enquirer beat writer Kelsey Conway breaks down what went wrong in the Bengals’ loss to the Jets on Oct. 26.
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Shaka Heyward is expected to miss about four weeks with a hairline fracture to his left fibula, according to a report via Twitter/X from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Heyward suffered the injury during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 8 loss to the New York Jets at Paycor Stadium. The Bengals announced within minutes that Heyward was declared out.
Heyward, considered a special-teams ace, has played in all eight of Cincinnati’s games this season, totaling 10 tackles.
The Bengals signed Heyward as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL draft.
Heyward, a former Duke University standout, played in six games during the 2024 season. He had a forced fumble and six combined tackles.
