Furious BBC chiefs blast Celeb Traitors cast as stars spill MORE secrets

BBC bosses have given the cast of The Celebrity Traitors a dressing-down over spoilers — because some accidentally said too much.

Just days after the outcome of Claudia Winkleman’s murder mystery was leaked online, Jonathan Ross revealed that executives had issued competitors with a comprehensive list of topics they must not discuss.

The telly presenter said he made the mistake of talking publicly about scenes which did not make the final cut. They included some that he described as gold involving Traitor Alan Carr.

Yesterday, on the Reel Talk podcast, Ross said: “It’s nerve-wracking watching it for me.

“The round tables of course…. Because a lot of stuff is edited out and I’m not allowed…. I didn’t realise but I’m not allowed to talk about the stuff that’s edited out, which I can understand why.

“When I started talking about it last week, they sent us all a kind of list saying, ‘Just to remind you these are the things in your contracts you’re not allowed to talk about’.

“So I’ll skirt around it as much as possible and not break any rules.

“But there’s a fairly comprehensive list and most of it I can see is to protect the integrity of the game as a viewing experience for people, so it makes perfect sense.”

The hit show’s plot is now one of the BBC’s most closely guarded secrets.

It comes after Ross revealed there were brilliant scenes that have not been shown.

Speaking last week, he said: “Obviously, there’s so much left on the cutting room floor.

“There are so many moments. There are so many funny things Alan Carr did and said, which I know already should have been the first episode, should have been the second episode.

“There’s something that happens later on that I know which should be in but isn’t in.

“And it’s like, there’s this Alan Carr gold waiting out there to be spun into them.”

Actress Ruth Codd has said there was an “unseen hierarchy” on the show, filmed at Scotland’s Ardross Castle.

Other sources have revealed that a huge row between brainbox Stephen Fry and historian David Olusoga was not shown.

Rumours about the show’s result have swirled online but The Sun will not share details.

The Celebrity Traitors continues tomorrow at 9pm, with the finale on Thursday next week.
