SCA launches Heart Network on DAB+ and Listnr

SCA has announced the launch of the Heart Network, a new national music brand available on DAB+ and the LiSTNR platform. The Heart Network makes its debut with two stations, Heart and Heart Hits, both of which are adult contemporary formats targeting the 25-54 age demographic.

Heart is specifically designed for a female audience, featuring a mix of music from the 70s, 80s, and contemporary artists such as Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, and Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, Heart Hits focuses on nostalgia, offering hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, with artists including Madonna, Lionel Richie, and Elton John.

Matthew O’Reilly, SCA Head of Broadcast Content, commented on the launch, saying, “Heart strengthens SCA’s already diverse music portfolio and marks our entry into the world’s most popular format — adult contemporary. It’s the leading format in New York, Los Angeles and London, and now SCA has a powerful adult contemporary brand of its own. Heart is built for listeners seeking a more personal and mood-based experience, while expanding our reach as the Number 1 network on DAB+. With Heart, SCA continues to lead the evolution of digital audio in Australia.”

SCA’s DAB+ network in Australia claims 1.3 million listeners. The LiSTNR platform, which hosts the Heart Network, has, SCA reports, over 2.4 million signed-on users and offers more than 50 music playlists. In addition to its digital offerings, SCA has partnered with Foxtel to feature 25 of LiSTNR’s curated playlists on Foxtel’s platform.

The company owns 104 radio stations across FM, AM, and DAB+ under the Triple M and Hit network brands. Furthermore, SCA provides national sales representation for 56 regional radio stations, reaching over 9 million listeners across the Hit and Triple M networks.
