After the game was initially interrupted by rain, the day was reduced to an 18-over contest. But the game was again halted with India batting on 97/1 in their 10th over. This time the match was called off. This is the first time India will take the field after winning the Asia Cup 2025 in September. While the conditions are nowhere near what they might be witnessing for the T20 World Cup 2026 in Sri Lanka and India, it is still a good opportunity to try and test a few combinations on wickets that are a bit more conducive to batting with pace and bounce, and be ready for various conditions.
