Netherlands goes to the polls for snap election

Dutch voters have been casting their ballots for the third time in less than five years after the collapse of the right-wing coalition government.

Less than two years ago, far-right firebrand Geert Wilders led his party to a stunning victory over the established giants of Netherlands politics.

But in June, he pulled his support for the four-party coalition over the issue of immigration, toppling the administration of Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
