The SOF described the Mari Oil Refinery as critical infrastructure for the Republic of Mari El. The plant produces 10 types of petroleum products and has a processing capacity of 1.6 million tonnes of crude per year.

NS-Oil Refinery produces the main petroleum products such as diesel, petrol and fuel oil. Its capacity stands at 600,000 tonnes of crude per year.

Budennovsk Gas Processing Plant has a design capacity of 2.2 billion cubic metres of gas per year. It supplies gas to the Budennovsk Thermal Power Plant and companies owned by Russian energy giant Lukoil in the oblast and serves as a feedstock source for the petrochemical sector.

The Special Operations Forces said they continue to conduct asymmetric actions to stop Russia and accelerate its strategic exhaustion.
