Halloween tea cakes a ‘possible health risk’ due to ingredient not declared on the packaging

A Halloween themed product has been recalled due to it containing undeclared ingredient. Halloween Spooky Tea Cakes are produced by Rose Manufacturing and sold in Lidl stores.
They are being recalled by Rose Manufacturing due because they contain egg which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.
According to the Foods Standards Agency (FSA), the packs which are being recalled are 220g and have best before dates of 28 August 2026, 18 September 2026, 22 September 2026 and 24 September 2026.
Customers who have bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg should not eat it. They should return it to the Lidl store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Lidl say they wish to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.
