Circleville, Tarlton Reschedule Trick-or-Treat Events Due to Weather

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — With rain in the forecast and the goal of keeping Halloween festivities safe and enjoyable, both the City of Circleville and the Village of Tarlton have rescheduled their Trick-or-Treat nights.

Circleville officials announced Wednesday that Trick or Treat will now take place Saturday, November 1, from 4 to 6 p.m., instead of Thursday, October 30. Mayor Michelle Blanton said the decision was made to ensure “safe and dry conditions” for families and young trick-or-treaters.

The city also has a Halloween movie night on 10/31, where costumes are encouraged in Ted Lewis park. Make sure to bring a few blankets and watch Hocus Pocus, expect some free snacks from the city and local supporters of this fun cause. The event starts at 7 pm.

“Safety comes first,” Blanton said. “We want everyone to enjoy Trick or Treat in safe and dry conditions.”

The mayor also noted that the new date helps create a full weekend of community spirit and “Tiger Pride.”

🏐 Thursday night: The Circleville Lady Tigers Volleyball Team faces the London Red Raiders in the Division IV Regional Semifinal at Pickerington North High School. First serve is at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online at ohsaa.org/tickets.

🏈 Friday night: Circleville Tiger Football takes the home field for their matchup against Philo, giving fans another chance to show their hometown pride.

🍬 Saturday: Families will wrap up the weekend with Trick or Treat across the city from 4 to 6 p.m.

“Circleville has a big weekend ahead — volleyball, football, costumes, and candy,” Blanton said. “It’s a great time to be a Tiger.” 🐯

Meanwhile, the Village of Tarlton has moved its Trick-or-Treat event to Friday, October 31, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., also citing weather concerns.
