Bam Adebayo dunking on Victor Wembanyama is the NBA highlight you need to see

The Miami Heat fell to 3-2 on the young season in Thursday’s 107-101 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, though Bam Adebayo left the contest with a monster dunk over Victor Wembanyama.
Adebayo caught the 21-year-old center stumbling in the final minute of the first half, drove from the corner and finished with a highlight dunk over the 7-foot-4 Frenchman.

Spurs, Victor Wembanyama spoil Bam Adebayo’s highlight dunk
A three-time All-Star, Adebayo is no stranger to highlight plays at the Spurs’ Frost Bank Center. In Miami’s last matchup in San Antonio — a 105-103 win on Feb. 1 — the 28-year-old center posted 30 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks and two steals, hitting a buzzer-beating jumper from the elbow.
Despite recording 31 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes Thursday, Bam’s double-double wasn’t enough to secure the win. Wembanyama ultimately got the last laugh, racking up 27 points, 18 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and one steal in 40 minutes of action.
Wembanyama has been stellar to begin the 2025-26 campaign, earning Western Conference Player of the Week honors in Week 1. The All-Star posted his fifth consecutive double-double Thursday, leading the Spurs to their first 5-0 start in franchise history with De’Aaron Fox still on the sidelines.
The Spurs won’t face the Heat again until March 23, but Wembanyama will certainly look to get his dunk back.
Meanwhile, the Heat will look to bounce back in Sunday’s marquee matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
