Your Preview: Roar return home to take on reigning champions

Brisbane Roar are returning to Suncorp Stadium this Friday night to take on reigning champions, Melbourne City in their Round 3 Isuzu UTE A-League Men clash.

Looking to hit back after a last minute loss in round 2 away to Wellington, Michael Valkanis’ men are hungry to get back to winning ways and what better way than to do it by toppling Melbourne City at home.

WHAT WAS SAID

Midfielder, Sam Klein spoke to media this week where he made note of wanting to bounce back in front of the home fans but doing it in a way that is entertaining to watch.

“This week is a different game, and we’ll put it (last week’s defeat) behind us… We want to show the fans that we can play on the ball and cut through teams.

“We have the talent in the squad to do that, we’re looking forward to showcasing that on Friday night and make sure we are still progressive, winning our individual battles.”
