After Wednesday evening’s series opener in Canberra was abandoned due to weather, Australia and reigning world champions India will be hoping the weather gods are on their side for Friday’s second T20 in Melbourne.
A bumper crowd of around 90,000 is expected for the highly-anticipated clash between the format’s two highest ranked teams.

“It’s an experience for the guys who haven’t been there and done it,” Australian bowler Nathan Ellis said of the prospect of playing in front of a packed MCG.
“Really excited to play in front of a huge crowd at MCG, it’s an exciting prospect. A few of us have had that one in the calendar for a little bit.”
The match gets underway at 7.15pm AEDT.
