Worlds 2025: G2 Versus TES – TES Shut Down the West Hope

Top Esports has delivered heartache to its fans in recent international events. Despite being one of the best LPL teams in the Summer, the expectations for the roster were low due to their previous international results. They have finally qualified for the semi-final of a Worlds event for the first time in five years. They defeated the hope of the West, G2 Esports, with a 3-1 series victory.
Worlds 2025: G2 Esports Versus Top Esports
Summary
The first game of the series had many similarities to the meeting between the teams in the Worlds Swiss Stage. G2 had losing sidelanes and were unable to find a footing. G2 slowly bled out as TES kept control.
The LEC first seed woke up in the second game of the series. The G2 botlane earned an early advantage. They nearly threw away the lead on multiple occasions with Hans Sama and Labrov getting caught out. Fortunately for G2, Caps and SkewMond remained in control and punished Hang’s mistakes.
Games three and four were decided by one pivotal objective, the Atakhan. Hans Sama backed on TES’s Atakahan timer in the third game, and G2 lost the teamfight in the fourth, which in both cases ballooned the game out of G2’s control. JackeyLove had no deaths in TES’s three-game wins.

TES Erases the Demons
After years of disappointment at international events, TES has finally delivered joy to their fans. The team that finished runner-up in the Summer Split returned today. They are not the flashiest team, but they created advantages through map movements and macro plays. They forced G2 into uncomfortable positions, giving themselves the best chance to win each game.
Awaiting Their Opponents
TES will wait to see their opponent in the Worlds semi-final. They face either Anyone’s Legend or T1. AL has looked to be the best LPL team at Worlds, and could even be better than GenG Esports. Regardless of TES’ opponents, they will not be favored and will need to see them step up to make the Grand Finals.
