Banished Celebrity Traitor Kate Garraway has issued her verdict on who will tonight’s finale. The Good Morning Britain presenter exited after a tense roundtable discussion on the penultimate episode last night.
Nick Mohammed, Joe Marler, David Olusoga, Alan Carr and Cat Burns are the remaining players in Friday’s Halloween finale. Kate has spoken about who she wants to win and said Ted Lasso star Nick has got all the required skillset to triumph. She told the BBC: “I would love to see Nick go on and win, because now I know who the Traitors are, I just think Nick has come so close so many times.
“He’s the only person, I think, who’s voted for Cat. I just think he has been saying, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure if it’s Cat?’ because she is so quiet around the round table and she’s just not giving anything, and then she just votes.
“It’s just a bit odd to not be curious, and he’s raised that, but he’s also a puzzle master – he won us a lot for the prize fund at the Missions. He was definitely the fastest on anything that we had to work out, so he deserves to win, for that reason.
“I really hope he wins, and I also love him.” Nick, Joe and David are the Faithfuls while Alan and Cat are the Traitors hoping to deceive their way to a win.
Kate said she got swept up in the game more than she realised as the 58-year-old said: “It was more fun than I expected.
“It was more involving than I expected. It kind of gets in your head, and before you know it, you’re going through everything and over analysing. Everything was bigger and better than I expected.
“The thing that you really don’t realise when you watch the show is that, of course, as a viewer, you have the wonderful advantage of knowing who the Traitors are.
“Oh, my God. It was so much fun. Everybody just threw themselves into every mission. If people were a bit nervous, you felt that other people were supporting them.
“It was just a huge amount of fun all the way. We were really into it and obviously we’re raising money for charity.
“Personally, I just felt genuinely lucky to be involved. Because, you know, it’s the first one. There’s been so much chat about it, and I never thought that I’d be included, so I was just like a wide-eyed kid in a candy shop for at least three days.”
Kate hopes tonight’s finale isn’t the end for her relationship with her Celebrity Traitors co-stars as she wants to get them in the chair for her Life Stories programme.
She said: “[I’d like] every single one [of them to come on], I asked them all, so we’ll see. We’ll see.
“Some of them said ‘Yes’. Someone said, ‘no way!’ and other people said, ‘okay, maybe, yeah’ so we’ll see!”
