Mumford & Sons have teamed up with Hozier for a new single, “Rubber Band Man,” about seven months after releasing Rushmore, their first album in seven years.
The Aaron Dessner-produced song sees Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford trading verses with Hozier. Dessner produced the song at the Long Pond Studio in Hudson, New York.
Hozier’s friendship with Mumford & Sons started in 2017 when he joined the band on stage to cover The Beatles’ “A Little Help From My Friends” at the Longitude Festival in 2017.
He also joined forces with the band at the Austin City Limits Festival in Texas in 2023.
