Prince Harry joked in Toronto that he was “under duress” when he wore a Los Angeles Dodgers hat during a World Series game against the Blue Jays last week.

The Duke of Sussex was in the crowd at Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium with his wife Meghan Markle for Game 4 of the Fall Classic, and both had sported the home team’s cap.

During a visit to Sunnybrook Hospital’s veterans centre in Toronto on Thursday, staff presented him with a Toronto Blue Jays hat as a gift.

The duke joked that he didn’t have a choice but to wear the Dodgers cap at the World Series, which later saw the Blue Jays lose in Game 7.

At the veterans centre, Prince Harry also received an army helmet painted by residents and a book detailing stories of centenarian veterans, as part of his two-day visit to the city ahead of Remembrance Day.

His last visit to Canada was in February, when he attended the Invictus Games in British Columbia.

Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, briefly stayed in Canada before they moved to the U.S. in 2020.

The couple announced in 2020 that they were stepping back from their roles as senior royals. The following year, Buckingham Palace announced that Harry and Meghan would not be returning to their prior roles as working members of the Royal Family.
