Three West Brom changes for Sheffield Wednesday as £3.3m signing named in squad for first time this season

Having been beaten at Watford and Ipswich – the Baggies head coach has opted for three changes ahead of their clash with Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns.

The team news headlines see George Campbell not named in the squad – having been an almost ever present for most of the season.

He has been replaced by Alfie Gilchrist, with the former Chelsea full back who arrived in the summer coming in for his first home start, having came off on his full debut at Watford.

Both full backs have been changed for the game, with Charlie Taylor dropping out of the side again in place of Callum Styles.

And elsewhere, Josh Maja comes in for his first start since the clash with Preston at home two weeks ago – returning in place of Aune Heggebo.

With injuries to Toby Collyer and Jayson Molumby, it is Ousmane Diakite and Alex Mowatt who make up the midfield pairing.

Albion: (4-2-3-1): Griffiths; Gilchrist, Phillips, Mepham, Styles; Diakite, Mowatt (c); Iling-Junior, Price, Johnston; Maja.

Subs: Wildsmith, Bielik, Taylor, Deeming, Grant, Bany, Bostock, Dike, Heggebo.
