Preview: Stoke City (A)

Bristol City visit fifth-placed Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday, November 1st (3pm).

The Robins strung three consecutive wins together in the space of seven days after previously going four games without a win.

A satisfying win at Norwich City before back-to-back home victories over Southampton and Birmingham City saw City move up to fourth place.

Away from home, Gerhard Struber’s side are unbeaten in league action and are targeting a fourth consecutive win and second consecutive away win at Stoke City.

Our Opponents: Stoke City

Only one point separates this weekend’s two sides as Saturday’s hosts sit fifth and on 22 points, while City are fourth and on 21.

Of their 12 league games, Stoke City have won six, drawn three, and lost three, conceding only eight goals.

Defenders Ben Wilmot, Ashley Philips and goalkeeper Viktor Johansson are at the heart of the Potters’ strong defensive record, playing consistently in Mark Robins’ side.

Notably, only three of the eight goals conceded have come at the bet365 Stadium.

Stoke City have lost just one of their last five games, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Millwall, while also beating Wrexham and Portsmouth, and drawing with Blackburn and Middlesbrough.
