Amorim: I don’t care about finishing above Liverpool, I want to become Premier League champion

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is not worried about finishing above Liverpool, despite the ongoing rivalry between the clubs.

After nine games in the league, United have amassed 16 points, while Liverpool have 15, leaving both teams determined to improve their standings.

However, the Portuguese coach of the Red Devils is not interested in fighting the Reds, but in winning the Premier League title.

“I don’t care if Manchester United finishes ahead of Liverpool,” Amorim initially said.

“I just want to win every game and finish top of the Premier League. I want to be in a position to become Premier League champion!”, concluded the Portuguese.

Otherwise, as part of the 10th round, United plays away to Nottingham Forest today (Saturday), while the Reds also host Aston Villa today. /Telegraph/
