Arsenal couldn’t have hoped for a much more comfortable half than that.

The Gunners are two up thanks to goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice.

But, as has been the case so far this season, it’s their performances at the other end that will please Mikel Arteta just as much.

Burnley didn’t have a single shot in that first half, nevermind an effort on target.

The last goal Arsenal conceded – in any competition – was against Newcastle during a 2-1 win on 28 September.
