Bundesliga weekend predictions, odds & best tips: Bayern Munich host Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena

The 2025-26 Bundesliga season is only eight matches old, but Bayern Munich are already looking unstoppable with bookmakers making them 1-40 to retain the German title.
Bayer Leverkusen will be the latest team to halt the runaway Bavarian freight train on Saturday evening – and that might prove an impossible task.

Augsburg vs Borussia Dortmund
Kick-off: 7.30pm Friday
Borussia Dortmund’s only defeat this season came against runaway leaders Bayern Munich and they should have little issue getting the better of Augsburg. The hosts have the worst defensive record in the Bundesliga, conceding 20 times in eight games, and are set to be punished.
Prediction: Borussia Dortmund
Heidenheim vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Eintracht Frankfurt have been having a hard time in some tough recent fixtures against the likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Liverpool but a trip to struggling Heidenheim gives them an ideal chance to pick up a win. The home side have lost seven of their last nine games.
Prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt
Union Berlin vs Freiburg
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Union Berlin have been struggling for goals lately and that makes them vulnerable when Freiburg head to the capital on Saturday. The visitors have not been in sparkling league form but there was enough to like in Europa wins over Basel and Utrecht to suggest they can win this encounter.
Prediction: Match Result: Freiburg
Mainz vs Werder Bremen
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Mainz are finding things tough as they attempt to juggle Bundesliga and Conference League commitments and it is difficult to be confident about the chances of a team who have lost all four of their home league games. Werder can build on home wins against St Pauli and Union Berlin to win this one.
Prediction: Werder Bremen
St Pauli vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
This is a battle of two Bundesliga strugglers with Monchengladbach winless, while St Pauli have suffered five straight league defeats. Rock-bottom Gladbach are capable of taking something from this contest and their first victory can’t be ruled out.
Prediction: Monchengladbach or draw double chance
RB Leipzig vs Stuttgart
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
This game has all the ingredients of being a cracker. Leipzig have dropped just two points since an opening-night 6-0 loss to Bayern Munich, while Stuttgart head east having won their last five league matches. This one should not disappoint so go for both teams to find the net.
Prediction: Both teams to score
Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen
Kick-off: 5.30pm Saturday
Bayern Munich have been supreme in the opening months of the Bundesliga season, but the team who beat them to the title two years ago should provide one of their tougher tests. It is difficult to go against the champions, but Bayer Leverkusen can score on their visit to the Allianz Arena.
Prediction: Bayern to win & both teams to score
Cologne vs Hamburg
Kick-off: 2.30pm Sunday
Cologne have won just one of their last six games in the Bundesliga but this looks like a good opportunity to bounce back from the disappointment of losing to an injury-time Borussia Dortmund goal last time out. Visitors Hamburg have yet to win on the road and may not carry a huge threat.
Prediction: Cologne
Wolfsburg vs Hoffenheim
Kick-off: 4.30pm Sunday
Wolfsburg ended a four-match losing run with a 1-0 win over Hamburg last week, but they could be vulnerable when they face Hoffenheim. The visitors have claimed wins over St Pauli and Heidenheim in their last two matches and are capable of posting another success on Sunday.
Prediction: Hoffenheim
