Singer Frankie Bridge has found herself on the receiving end of a playful jibe from Michael McIntyre in a new series of BBC’s The Wheel.

This Saturday, November 1, will witness The Saturdays’ vocalist Frankie Bridge appearing in Series 6 of The Wheel alongside fellow celebrity specialists Josh Widdicombe and Colin Jackson.

Once more, eager contestants will rely on experts positioned around a spinning wheel, spanning various subjects, all whilst pursuing a monetary reward.

Each famous face brings their own area of expertise, which they can deploy to assist participants in progressing through the competition, securing additional cash.

As players are spun around the massive wheel, they must choose one celebrity specialist to “shut down” – the individual they consider least likely to provide a correct response, reports the Mirror.

Nevertheless, a wrong answer, or should the wheel land on a star who has been knocked out of that round, could spell the end of the game for the contestant.

In an exclusive glimpse of an upcoming episode, presenter Michael McIntyre has delivered a cheeky barb aimed at Frankie Bridge.

This week, Halima will tackle the challenge as the wheel settles on singer Frankie, signifying she will be competing for doubled prize money that round.

Introducing Frankie to the programme, host Michael McIntyre enquired whether the star had participated in Strictly Come Dancing and how she had fared.

Frankie responded: “I came second. I’m really glad that you enjoyed the show.”

When queried about the timeline, she responded that it was “ages ago” in 2014. Michael McIntyre jested: “Wow, okay, of course, you came second.”

Following a playful exchange where Michael couldn’t pinpoint his favourite of Frankie’s dances, Frankie retorted, “Anyway, this is not about me, it’s about you, Halima.”

Michael McIntyre humorously responded: “Wow, it’s rare that an expert has that attitude.”

Frankie graced the Strictly Come Dancing stage back in 2014, partnered with Kevin Clifton. They reached the final, narrowly losing the Glitterball trophy to victors Pasha Kovalev and Caroline Flack.

In addition to her stint on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! , Frankie is a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women. Over the years, the star has been candid about her mental health struggles.

Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel continues Saturday, November 1 at 8.20pm on BBC One.
