Gameday 12: Florida Panthers vs Dallas Stars

After getting a three-day break, the Florida Panthers (5-5-1) will finish off a four-game homestand when they face the Dallas Stars (6-3-2) tonight at Amerant Bank Arena in suburban Sunrise.
Florida played pretty well, but had a hard time getting the puck past Lukas Dostal in their last outing, falling 3-2 in a shootout to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday. Anton Lundell and Sam Reinhart lit the lamp in the third as the Panthers rallied from two-down to earn a point. Seth Jones set up Reinhart’s late marker to match Brad Marchand with a team-high six assists. Daniil Tarasov stopped 15 of 17 shots and lowered his goals against average down to 2.64.
The Stars saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Thursday in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Benchmark International Arena. By getting to the extra session, Dallas has now collected points in five-straight tilts. Adam Erne scored his first of the season and Jake Oettinger made 30 saves in the tough defeat Mikko Rantanen leads the team in scoring with 12 points.
