Someone is about to get filthy rich on record-breaking Toronto Blue Jays 50/50 draw

Fans fully wrapped up in this Toronto Blue Jays playoff run may want to consider buying a 50/50 ticket before Sunday’s draw.

The winner of the World Series Jackpot Draw is expected to take home more than $10 million. At time of publishing, the winner-take-home total was north of $8.3 million, with two days to go before the Jays Care Foundation draws the winner.

As if the cash weren’t enough, the lucky winner of this draw will also receive a celebratory phone call from Blue Jays icon Joe Carter, who will inform the lucky ticket holder of their winnings.

This is a crazy amount of money for anybody to win, and would actually serve as a much bigger payday than many Jays players are currently getting. Trey Yesavage, for example, is making just $57,000 this season, while several others are being paid significantly less than the $8.3 million the draw is currently at.

Though it is expected to continue to climb, this already marks the biggest 50/50 draw in baseball history. It’s a true testament to just how many fans north of the border are fully invested in this team as they look to win their first World Series since 1993.

Tickets can be purchased online up until 10 a.m. EST this Sunday. The raffle is open to anyone physically located within the province of Ontario or Nova Scotia at time of purchase.

Despite the draw not coming until Sunday, the World Series will be wrapped up beforehand. The Blue Jays will have an opportunity to win it all at Rogers Centre in Game 6 on Friday night, or Game 7 on Saturday if necessary.
