A Place in the Sun’s Jasmine Harman has shared a heartwarming family update as she recalled the moment her life “changed”. The 49-year-old TV host first joined the popular property programme in 2004 and has since appeared in over 200 episodes. Away from the screen, Jasmine is married to Jon Boast and the couple tied the knot in 2009.

They met on the set of A Place in the Sun, as Jon was the director of photography. Jon and Jasmine share a son called Albion and a daughter, Joy.

Jasmine regularly updates fans on her life away from the cameras, much to the delight of her 227,000 followers on Instagram. From adorable selfies with her husband, to stunning sunset photos she has taken, Jasmine’s profile is filled with different insights into her day-to-day life.

In a recent post on social media, Jasmine shared an adorable photo to mark her daughter’s 12th birthday. She posted a throwback snap to herself and Joy on the beach when she was a toddler.

She captioned the photo: “Happy 12th Birthday to my amazing daughter Joy! Becoming a mummy changed my life in so many ways, but more than anything, I don’t think I could ever have imagined the love and pride I feel in my heart – it’s overflowing. Happy birthday my girl.”

Jasmine’s followers rushed to the comments on Instagram to send their birthday wishes. One said: “Big big happy birthday to Joy . Beautiful picture of you both xx.”

Another said: “Happy Birthday to your daughter. Lovely photo x.” A third added: “She is an image of you Jass” with a heart eyes emoji.

Jasmine’s house-hunting skills proved to come in handy when she was looking for a home in Spain for her family. In 2023, she made her dream move away from London to sunny Estepona on Spain’s Costa del Sol.

Speaking on Loose Women last month about finally taking the plunge and moving abroad, she shared: “It was a long time coming, and it came about because I was having to go away for work so frequently and leave my children and my family back at home in the UK.”

She added: “My husband wanted to live by the sea. So I said ‘if we want to move to the coast, let’s move to the Mediterranean coast!’.”

Despite experiencing several challenges throughout the renovation project, Jasmine said: “For our family it was the best thing to do and I’ve got no regrets.”

The TV star is set to launch her own new series, Jasmine’s Renovation In The Sun. The programme will document exactly how Jasmine and her family purchased a rundown Spanish villa and made it their dream home.

The series will give an insight into the work that goes into making the family’s dream come true as they juggle the demands of a renovation, busy jobs, young kids, making friends, and building a life for themselves in Spain.

Jasmine’s Renovation In The Sun will be available to watch on Channel 4 in November
