Horror movie called most ‘repulsive’

“Why pay to scream when you can scream for free?”
That’s exactly what free streaming platform Tubi is offering viewers this Halloween season.
Home to Australia’s largest free horror content library, the streamer houses a mixed bag of big-scream classics and Tubi Originals, including one original film labelled one of the “most repulsive”.
With no subscription needed and no payments taken, Tubi is full of treats not tricks this Halloween – and what a delectable menu it is.
Feast your eyes on the hottest title on the streamer this month: Slay, now streaming for free.
This Tubi Original film was released last year but is back at the forefront just in time for the spooky season.
Part The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, part From Dusk Till Dawn, Slay follows a group of road-tripping drag queens who booked the wrong venue for a gig. But that doesn’t stop them from taking to the stage and slaying at The Bold Buck biker bar.
They manage to win over the unfriendly bikers with their performance, but the fun comes to a stop when they find themselves under siege by a group of visiting vampires.
The foursome are pushed to the frontline, defending the bikers against the vampires while, of course, looking fierce and fabulous.
Slay stars US-based drag queen Trinity the Tuck, who became a fan favourite after appearing on the reality competition show RuPaul’s Drag Race, on which she featured in 2017 before going on to win the All Stars series in 2018.
Trinity the Tuck is also currently in Sydney on a whirlwind visit to host Tubi’s Slay the Night Halloween bash at The Imperial bar in Erskineville on Tuesday night.
The guest list includes the likes of Nova stars Ricki-Lee Coulter, Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey, who will help host the event which celebrates all things horror in the lead up to Halloween.
You can also mark Halloween week by tuning into Tubi to get your scream fix. Here’s what’s currently streaming for free on Tubi:
Match (2025)
This Tubi Original has been described as one of the most “repulsive” films you will ever see. Match follows a woman named Paola who is matched with a handsome online suitor.
They make plans to go on a first date at his house. However, when she arrives and the door is opened, it was not her suitor who greeted her but his mother.
It turns dangerous when Paola soon finds herself in a house full of dark secrets and she’s trapped inside with no way out.
Takeout (2025)
Takeout is a horror-thriller about three nightshift workers at a remote fast-food diner who get caught up in a mystery when they suspect a customer is a serial killer.
Their shift turns into a night of suspicion and survival and the trio discover the truth is far more dangerous than they ever imagined.
With its mix of humour and slasher-style scenes, it is arguably one of Tubi’s boldest horror originals.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
With the reboot recently released, this classic flick helped kick start the teen horror movie genre in the 90s and it is screaming for a re-watch.
Starring all our fave 90s stars, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe, the story follows four friends who cause a fatal car accident and cover up their involvement, only to face deadly consequences.
The Ring (2002)
A Japanese supernatural psychological horror being adapted into a Hollywood horror movie? It doesn’t get much scarier than that.
The mystery begins when four teenagers mysteriously die exactly one week after watching a videotape.
An investigative reporter, played by Aussie actress Naomi Watts, then tracks down the tape and naturally watches it, only to find out that those who watch it will die in seven days.
Slay and all the titles mentioned are now streaming for free on Tubi
