Southall industrial site to be replaced by data centres

This included £6m for Ealing Council’s data centre training and skills strategy.
Plan included four industrial buildings including a logistics and distribution centre, a central pavilion and two power-generating substations, smaller workshops and office space.
The pavilion would house offices and support facilities and was intended to be the focal point of the entrance to the new-look industrial estate.
Ealing Council approved the plans on 22 October.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service said data centres were being built across the capital with the construction of three data centres on the site of the existing Hayes Bridge Retail Park approved by Hillingdon Council recently.
