The latest axing from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing has once more been revealed online, well before Sunday evening’s results programme.

While the outcome of a dance-off between two partnerships won’t be officially announced until Sunday night, one duo’s destiny has already been determined.

The BBC films the feared dance-off straight after Saturday night’s live broadcast, but maintains secrecy around the verdict for a full day.

The Strictly spoiler website has been disclosing which celebrities get the boot every Saturday evening since 2012, causing frustration amongst the Strictly production team and judge Anton Du Beke, who has previously claimed it is “ruining” the programme for viewers.

Yet this week proved no different as the identity of the departing famous face was revealed online, which The Daily Star has chosen not to disclose, reports Wales Online.

After the next elimination was leaked, supporters flocked to X, previously called Twitter, to express their views.

One viewer commented: “I had a feeling this was going to be the result. Devastated for the person who left”, adding: “Heartbroken for the other person too!”.

Another account posted: “Sad to see the eliminated couple go!”, whilst someone else penned: “Oh wow! Definitely didn’t expect them to leave just yet!” and a separate fan remarked: “What a poor decision!”.

This follows footballer Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink and Lauren Oakley being sent home during last week’s programme after a feared dance-off with West End performer Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.

In recent news, it was revealed that Tess Daly, a staple on Strictly since its inception in 2004, and Claudia Winkleman, who joined her as co-host in 2014, will be bidding farewell to the popular BBC One programme.

The BBC confirmed in a statement: “After many magnificent years in the ballroom, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have confirmed they are saying goodbye to Strictly Come Dancing.

“Tess and Claudia have co-hosted Strictly Come Dancing together since 2014.”

The dynamic duo will make their final bow on Strictly Come Dancing at the conclusion of the current series. Their last joint appearance will be on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, set to air on Christmas Day on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Strictly Come Dancing the results airs at 7.15pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
