The Colts and Steelers both lead their respective AFC divisions after eight weeks but the visitors have made a far more impressive start at 7-1.
The Colts have scored the most points in the league with 270, but they could face a lower-scoring contest than they have been used to when they visit Acrisure Stadium.
The home side need to turn things around after back-to-back losses to the Bengals and Packers, and the Ravens’ win over the Dolphins on Thursday night has put them under more pressure in the struggling AFC North.
The Steelers blew a 16-7 half-time lead against the Packers last week, losing 35-25, but the total for this game looks high at 50.5.
Pittsburgh haven’t had a total that high for a home game in five seasons and it looks worth taking on for a clash on a grass field that has been criticised this season.
The Steelers took steps to improve their struggling defence with the addition of safety Kyle Dugger in a trade with the Patriots this week and their two previous home games in Pennsylvania this season both came in under 50 points with totals of 48 and 32.
