Celebrity Traitors star pulls tour after begging fans to buy tickets as she admits she’s not ‘in the right headspace’

CELEBRITY Traitors star has pulled out of her upcoming tour after admitting she’s not “in the right headspace” – just weeks after pleading with fans to buy tickets.

The songwriter told fans on social media that it was a tough call to make – but said she needed to put her mental health first, explaining she’s “taking care of my wellbeing.”

Singer and Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns has postponed her How To Be Human tour until April 2026, admitting she’s been hit by an “intense” build-up she “didn’t anticipate.”

Cat’s UK tour was originally set to kick off on November 10 in Glasgow before heading to Manchester, Brighton, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Bristol – finishing at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on November 30.

Her statement on Instagram read: “Hi! This album and tour mean the world to me. It’s been a massive journey getting ready to share How To Be Human with you.

“I can’t believe it’s nearly here!! But unfortunately the build-up has been a lot more intense than any of us expected, so myself and my team have made the difficult decision to move the How To Be Human Tour to April 2026.

“Touring is incredibly demanding mentally and physically, and I want to make sure I’m taking care of my wellbeing so I’m in the right headspace to give you the show you deserve.

“When I step on stage, I really want to feel my best and give you a night that feels worth every moment of waiting.

“Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding through this! These decisions are never easy and I don’t take your support for granted!

“I can’t wait to see you soon and make these shows everything they should be. Love, Cat x”.

This comes after Cat begged her fans to support her music by purchasing tickets for her upcoming tour last month.

It followed lower-than-anticipated figures for ticket sales and worries she’s going to be “playing to empty venues”.

The songstress took to TikTok to share a candid story reel about the situation.

Cat wrote: “trying not to crash out because I haven’t sold many tour tickets and the first shows is in less than 2 months so i’m basically playing to empty rooms x.”

Cat’s tour followed the release of her new album, ‘How to be Human’ which drops today.

It has 16 tracks in total, and Cat hopes her latest album release will become a source of comfort to others, as well as a reminder of resilience.

Cat Burns new tour dates

UK tour dates in November have been postponed to the following April 2026 dates. There will be shows in Liverpool, Leeds, Kingston, Brighton, London, Haggerston and Manchester.

  • April 10 – Birmingham, TBA
  • April 11 – Newcastle, NX Newcastle
  • April 12 – Glasgow, O2 Academy
  • April 14 – Brighton, Brighton Dome
  • April 15 – Bristol, O2 Academy
  • April 17 – Bournemouth, O2 Academy
  • April 18 – Manchester, O2 Apollo
  • April 19 – London, O2 Academy Brixton

She revealed: “‘How to be Human’ is about the last year of my life. I experienced the death of a loved one and my first relationship heartbreak at the same time, and genuinely had no idea how I would get through the situation.

“Making this album was my introspective and neurodivergent way of navigating heartbreak and the loss of my grandad, who I was extremely close to – it’s my comfort album.

“While making it I realised how many people it could help. I know there are so many people going through similar struggles.

“I hope it provides them some comfort too and shows how you can pick yourself back up.”

Meanwhile, Cat is currently featuring on The Traitors first-ever celebrity series.

She has made it to the final five as a Traitor, alongside fellow Traitor Alan Carr.

However, in last night’s penultimate episode, rugby player and Faithful Joe Marler has clocked Cat and Alan’s sketchy behaviour and is convinced they are Traitors.

Can he convince his fellow Faithful, David and Nick, to banish them and take all the money for their chosen charities?
