Legendary actor Asrani passes away at 84 due to age-related ailments

Asrani is a name that needs absolutely no introduction. The legendary actor passed away on Monday at the age of 84. The actual cause of the death is still unknown, it has been reported that the veteran passed away due to age related ailments. He had an experience in Hindi cinema of more than five decades. This legend was one of the most complete actors of all time that could play any character with effortless ease. The last rites were performed without the presence of any Bollywood celebrities as he didn’t want any chaos at his funeral and wanted to depart peacefully. He has left behind nothing but great memories of great movies and great performances.
Asrani was born in Jaipur in the year 1940. The way he essayed all his characters was a masterclass in film perfection and performances. It’s truly the end of an era.
Asrani and his iconic films
Most of the people know him as Angrezon Ke Zamane Ka Jailer in Sholay. But some of his most memorable collaborations happened with Hrishikesh Mukherjee. And they both crafted and created the kind of cinema that healed and hurt together.
As the 80s and 90s began, Asrani successfully transitioned into far more mainstream roles that purposely hinged on larger than life and over the top telling with great commercial results.
The pairing with Kader Khan
If you have a look at the actor’s Instagram account, he shared a lot of reels of another legend called Kader Khan and the blockbuster films they acted in together.
