India vs. Bangladesh lineups: Predicted starting XI, team news for AFC Asian Cup qualifiers

India are all set to take on Bangladesh in a dead-rubber AFC Asian Cup qualifying game on Tuesday, November 18 at the National Stadium in Dhaka.

Both teams no longer stand a chance of qualifying for the next round as they have only two points each from their first four group games.

India saw their chances shattered after losing against Singapore in their last game on home soil in October.

This was the first time in seven years that India failed to progress to the continental tournament. The only time they failed to progress since the 2011 edition was in 2015.

Legendary forward Sunil Chhetri has not travelled to Dhaka for the game as he is contemplating announcing his international retirement for the second and the last time after India failed to progress to the Asian Cup.

However, they have been boosted by Ryan Williams’ addition. The Bengaluru FC attacker recently obtained his Indian citizenship and is now eligible to represent the Blues Tigers. His participation in the game, though, is subject to an NOC from Football Australia.
