Man dies in Monmouthshire crash | ITV News

A man has died in a crash on the M48 in Monmouthshire, police have confirmed.
The driver of an Audi S1 Quattro was pronounced dead at the scene, near Junction 2 at Newhouse, Chepstow, in the early hours of Saturday.
The road was closed westbound and re-opened on Saturday evening. Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
The collision involved one car.
A statement from Gwent Police said: “Formal identification has not taken place, but the family of the registered owner – a 21-year-old man from Devon – has been informed.
“They will be supported by specially trained officers.”
The force has appealed for anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact them.
