Michelle Keegan tipped for first Hollywood role after meeting A-Lister

It didn’t take long for fans to demand a Michelle Keegan and Reese Witherspoon collab once photos of them together appeared, and it looks like they might just get their wish.
Reese and Michelle met at the launch of Reese and Harlan Coben’s novel, Gone Before Goodbye, at the Royal Festival Hall in London last week.
The Essex star has worked with the author before on the Netflix adaptation of his book Fool Me Once, but seemed well and truly in awe of Reese as the trio chatted away at the launch.

‘When two geniuses collide.. ‘Gone Before Goodbye’ is made! (I can confirm Reese Witherspoon is everything you’d imagined her to be, what a woman’, Michelle gushed in her caption.

Michelle rocked an all-nude ensemble comprising a woolen jumper and matching trousers on the night, finishing off her look with a brown belt and heels.
Fans remarked on the budding friendship in the comments, with many people hopeful that this could mean Michelle is cast in a TV adaptation of the book down the line.
Now, a source has suggested that Michelle is being courted to play the lead character in the film adaptation of Reese and Harlan’s book – just as fans had hoped!
A source told The Sun: ‘Harlan has been singing Michelle’s praises to Reese and she was keen to meet her. They got on really well and it was clear Reese was really taken with Michelle.
‘The plan is to turn the book into a film and Michelle is their first choice to take on the role of the lead character, Maggie McCabe…
‘It’s early days but Harlan and Reese think Michelle is tailor-made for this role and would love her to come on board when the time is right.’
When Michelle posted her photos, author Harlan also shared the love, writing: ‘Awww it meant the world to us to have you and Mark there’, while fans of Michelle’s questioned how she kept her cool.
‘I would pass CLEAN OUT,’ said one person, while someone referenced the famous moment in Legally Blonde, writing: ‘Now that’s worth a bend and snap.’

Reese and Harlan are currently promoting Gone Before Goodbye. The novel is Reese’s debut project in the literature world, with the book telling the story of combat surgeon Maggie McCabe as she struggles to get back on her feet after losing her medical license while keeping her sanity and her passion.
The official description of the book reads: ‘Maggie McCabe is teetering on the brink. A highly skilled and renowned Army combat surgeon, she has always lived life at the edge, where she could make the most impact. And it was all going to plan…until it wasn’t.
‘Upside down after a devastating series of tragedies leads to her medical license being revoked, Maggie has lost her purpose, but not her nerve or her passion. At her lowest point, she is thrown a lifeline by a former colleague, an elite plastic surgeon whose anonymous clientele demand the best care money can buy, as well as absolute discretion.
‘Halfway across the globe, sequestered in the lap of luxury and cutting-edge technology, one of the world’s most mysterious men requires unconventional medical assistance. Desperate, and one of the few surgeons in the world skilled enough to take this job, Maggie enters his realm of unspeakable opulence and fulfills her end of the agreement. But when the patient suddenly disappears while still under her care, Maggie must become a fugitive herself – or she will be the next one who is…’
