Austin Dillon Pulled The Ultimate Bro Move & Introduced William Byron To Sydney Sweeney Ahead Of NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race

That ought to be some good luck.

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season wraps up today at Phoenix Raceway, with Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Kyle Larson and Chase Briscoe competing to become this year’s champion.

Of course because it’s such a big event there are plenty of celebrities in attendance for the season finale – including America’s Sweetheart, Sydney Sweeney.

The blonde bombshell actress sat in on the driver’s meeting ahead of the race, where it seems like she was quite a hit with everybody…including the drivers.

Noah Gragson, the driver of the #4 car for Front Row Motorsports, took the initiative to go up to Sweeney himself and get a picture.

Gotta think he’s gonna have that one framed in his house. Hell, he might have printed it out and put it on his dashboard before the race.

And Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s media company, Dirty Mo Media, even tried to put in a good word for Noah as he shot his shot:

But apparently some of the other drivers weren’t as confident as Noah, and needed a little convincing to make their move on Sweeney. (Can’t really blame them).

Luckily, Austin Dillon was there to play wingman.

As the drivers were exiting the media center, Dillon stopped the driver of the #24 car for Hendrick Motorsports, William Byron, and convinced him to go back and meet Sweeney, and even hyped up his buddy a little bit to the actress:

“Travis and Taylor would have nothing on you two!”

That’s the ultimate bro move right there.

Of course Sweeney’s not the only celebrity guest at the race today. WNBA star Sophie Cunningham, who plays for the Indiana Fever alongside Caitlin Clark, is also at the race – and even she couldn’t resist getting a picture with Sweeney (while hilariously pointing out one big difference between the two).

Gotta admit, that’s pretty funny.

Maybe meeting Sweeney will give Byron the boost he needs to win his first NASCAR Cup Series championship – although Byron might have his eye on another blonde celebrity.

After winning the Daytona 500 earlier this year, a NASCAR parody account tweeted a screenshot that appeared to show Byron trying to get the attention of pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter on Instagram.

The 27-year old driver confirmed that the screenshot was fake, but also confirmed that he definitely wasn’t opposed to having Sabrina come to a race with him:

“Maybe we can get her out to a race or something, that would be great. Or I can get to a show. That would be fun.”

I’d say that it would be a lot easier for him to impress these ladies if he’s able to win a NASCAR championship trophy.
