Sharks Will Need To Make Decision On Misa Very Soon

The San Jose Sharks have some big decisions coming up.

Earlier today, I wrote about how Sam Dickinson is just one game away from burning the first year of his entry-level contract, which means they need to make a decision on him within the next few days.

After that, their attention will turn to Michael Misa, who is just four games away from hitting the 10-game mark.

Right now, he sits at six games played and has recorded a goal and two assists for three points. He has played well, but because they don’t expect to be an overly good team, there is a good chance that he could be sent back down to the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL and possibly traded to a contender to try and win a championship.

That said, they could elect to keep him with the NHL club, but that could mean that he is in and out of the lineup and not really developing as much as they would have hoped.

Nevertheless, it could be a week to 10 days before the Sharks need to make yet another decision regarding the future of their prospects. But first, their focus is on Dickinson, and that decision could come as early as this weekend.
