Philadelphia Eagles trade for ex-Packer Jaire Alexander with Green Bay next on schedule

Packers’ Micah Parsons on being NFC Defensive Player of the Month

Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons talks about his play and his recent honor of NFC Defensive Player of the Month.

Nine days before they’ll play the Green Bay Packers, the Philadelphia Eagles traded for a former Packer.

The Eagles picked up cornerback Jaire Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a sixth-rounder in 2026, the team announced Nov. 1.

Alexander – the first player picked by general manager Brian Gutekunst – signed with the Ravens in June after the Packers released the oft-injured 28-year-old after seven seasons.

Although he was one of the NFL’s top cornerbacks when healthy, Alexander played in just seven games in the 2023 and ’24 seasons. He appeared in two this season for the Ravens (3-5), recording five tackles.

The Eagles, who lead the NFC East with a 6-2 record, next play the Packers on “Monday Night Football” on Nov. 10 after a bye this weekend.
