AC/DC still has some electricity, more than 50 years after their first gig (on New Year’s Eve 1973 at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia, for those keeping track).
The legendary rock band is set to “Power Up” again for a few Canadian concert dates next summer, including a stop at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026.
The extended tour was announced Monday by Live Nation Entertainment, with other concerts in Edmonton, Montreal and Toronto. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, on acdc.com/tour.
The current version of AC/DC features Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney.
Next summer BC Place will also rock with the Dave Grohl-led Foo Fighters on Sept. 20, with Queens of the Stone Age opening. Tickets are sold on foofighters.com.
On Monday (Nov. 3), Live Nation Entertainment also announced concert dates for George Thorogood & The Destroyers at Coquitlam’s Great Canadian Casino Vancouver (March 14-15, 2026, all-ages), and alt-rock band The Neighbourhood at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Oct. 2, 2026.
