The station has now reopened. Thameslink said trains may be delayed or altered.
Thameslink wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “We are aware that London Bridge station was evacuated for a short period of time.
“We apologise for any worry caused to customers and confirm that the station has re-opened for safe travel through this station.
“Some trains may be delayed or their calling pattern altered so please check journey planners or station information boards for updated platform and train information.”
