The M6 motorway is closed southbound in Staffordshire after a crash overnight.
It is affecting the stretch between junction 13, for Stafford, and junction 12, for Cannock.
The carriageway was closed at about 00:10 GMT, National Highways said, adding at 07:00 that there were delays of about an hour for drivers, with queues also building on the A449 diversion.
The M6 was also closed southbound overnight between junction 12 and 10, for planned roadworks, although that section has since reopened.
